Hi all

i am downloading attachments and have no sort of problem with it.

If the attachment size is large say greater than 4 MB, timeout occurs and the connection is lost.

Can anyone out there help me to deal with this situation?

You can set the ReceiveTimeout property of the Pop3Client object.

I set mine to a value of 1800000, and it hasn't timed out yet...

using (var cl = new Pop3Client(Allsettings.Pop3User, Allsettings.Pop3Pass, Allsettings.Pop3Host))
                    cl.ReceiveTimeout = 1800000;
                    cl.Port = Allsettings.Pop3Port;
                    cl.AuthenticateMode = Pop3AuthenticateMode.Pop;
                    cl.Ssl = Allsettings.Pop3UseSsl;
                    bool auth = cl.Authenticate();
                    long msgcount = cl.GetTotalMessageCount();
